Into the Vale allows you to create characters that are either human, faunus, or android. At the moment, we do not have strict limitations on species; however, we will set limitations in the future, if it becomes necessary.
Because androids are meant to be very rare, admin will be VERY STRICT while accepting android characters.
Faunus are a species of humanoids that contain animal DNA. While they look more human than animal, they are often not considered to be human at all. Faunus will have a single trait that represents their animal DNA. It could be cat ears, a monkey tail, bull horns, unicorn horn, sabre fangs, etc. The animal trait is usually a single, small trait.
It should also be noted that when two faunus have a child, the child will take on one of the parent's animal traits, not both.
Androids are virtually unheard of. It's common for androids to pretend to be human and hide the fact that they are artificial. Androids appear exactly like a human, but have enhanced abilities, such as sight, smell, hearing, strength, endurance, etc. What separates androids from machines are that they have, somehow, developed a natural soul. Because of this, they are able to feel emotions, learn and adapt, judge right from wrong, wield powerful weapons, use magic, and even have an atronach.
Crossbreeding
To begin, androids cannot reproduce; so, there will be no human x android offspring, faunus x android offspring, or anything of the sort. Androids are made by mortals in a lab. End of discussion.
When it comes to humans and faunus, there are no half breeds. The offspring of a human and faunus couple will either be a human or a faunus. Usually the human genes are more powerful; so, a child with one faunus parent is far more likely to be human than faunus.
